[Players]

Unfortunately, there are only 2 players that i know about. One is K-Jofol, and the other is Yamaha's SoundVQ Player, which is also a browser plugin.

You may download the latest version of each player here, or you can follow the link to the makers site. Whenever a new player is released, i will rview it here, and provide you with the latest version.

Yamaha TwinVQ Player 2.51 Beta This is the original player mady by Yamaha. It is a good player, but without the looks of K-Jofol, and it doesn't support MP3's. If you don't plan on collecting MP3's, you could go with this one
K-Jofol 0.32 Beta A good player, it also supperts MP3's, so if you have a collection of those, choose this one. It is also the only VQF player that supports other skins, which can be found under that section on the main page. It also has a cool appearance. Check back for future updates on this player.

Hopefully someone will come out with another player soon with even more features and which is faster, or will run better on slower computers. For now, you are unable to fast forward or rewind the songs, but that is something they are working on

[Encoders]

So far i have only seen 1 encoder, the one shown below. If i find any others, i will immediatly put it on here and review it.

Encoder Version Specs. Download Site
Yamaha TwinVQ Encoder 2.53 Beta This is the original encoder made by Yamaha. It is kind of slow, simply because it has to put more data in less space, and it is new technology, so it hasn't been perfected. Included is an encoder for single files, and a batch encoder so you can encode your files over night. Unfortunately, you can only encode at a maximum of 32k/sec/channel, so the quality is good, but not the greatest.

All VQF's must be encoded from a WAV file. If you wish to rip a song off a CD, you have to find one and make a WAV file first, sorry, that's the way it is. Maybe later someone will make a program that rips the song from a CD, and automatically encodes it, hint, hint, all you programmers.
